We are really excited to be moving to a stunning new venue for our yoga retreats in 2017. The first retreat will run in January and more will follow throughout the year.
The wonderful retreat centre is in Hazlebury Bryan, between Blandford and Sherborne, deep in Rural Dorset but only 2 hrs 15 mins from London.
The venue belongs to a local Dorset artist and is filled with beautiful rooms for us to enjoy. The house sits in 20 acres of garden, fields and woodland. We will practice yoga in the large drawing room, filled with light and a wonderful energy. We will eat meals in the dining room and guests have their own sitting room to enjoy during the day and evening. There are 6 beautiful rooms, 3 en suite and the first floor and 3 on the second floor with shared bathroom, both twins and doubles.
We will now be offering 3 meals a day all cooked by our new private chef, Karen Ben Amor, all diets are catered for and you are in for such a treat, Karens cooking is simply incredible, we are so lucky to have her on board.
There will also be non-residential options available on every retreat from £100-250.

Really looking forward to starting our dawn Peace Meditation this month. We thought it would be lovely if we were are practicing the same meditation, so have chosen The Blessing of the Centres by Dr Joe Dispenza. I’ve been doing this regularly since attending his workshop in London last week and its very powerful and transformative. Here is the link to the download for the guided mediation and you can also listen to his intro which offers guidance on how to use the meditation. Click on the link below to access the download.

Accepting and Forgiving ourselves through Healing Meditation
Our next Stillness Retreat is coming up on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September. Full details can be found on the Retreat Dates page of this website.
On Sunday afternoon of the September Retreat, Saira will be running this workshop, it will be a gentle hour of guidance, mediation and relaxation for you to enjoy.
In times of sadness, stress or anger, we often find there is a deep inner voice of self-criticism, non-acceptance and lack of forgiveness towards ourselves. If we can connect with the deep wounds that create this voice, we can begin to unravel why we are so unaccepting of who we are and move towards a place of inner peace and unconditional loving kindness.
During this workshop we will explore the ways in which we tend to criticise ourselves and how we can start to heal, coming closer to a deeper self-acceptance and for the life we have been given. Deeply surrendering to the flow of our life and where we find ourselves today, accepting that there is nothing wrong with us and we are not at fault for any past mistakes or current problems that may be causing us pain.
We will spend time talking, sharing and working with guided meditations and chants for deep healing within the heart and to lift the spirit.
You may have heard a lot about Mindful Meditation in the media recently. This ancient Buddhist practice is becoming increasingly popular in the West. GP surgeries in the UK are now running Mindfulness courses for patients who are struggling with anxiety, depression or having to cope with ongoing severe pain.
My own journey in meditation began when I started to practise Yoga as a teenager. After the birth of my first child in 1998 I suffered with Post-Natal Depression and had anxiety, panic attacks and sleep problems. I found that simple Zen Buddhist, mindful meditation techniques helped me to slowly recover and I now meditate regularly as part of my spiritual practice, as a single mother of three children, I could not be without it!
So what could Mindful Meditation do for you? We all lead busy, stressful lives, we are bombarded daily by negative media, traffic jams, hectic family schedules, work pressure and endless household chores. Spending a little time each day meditating can help to ’empty the stress bucket’, clearing space in the mind so that we don’t permanently feel mentally overloaded.
Meditation brings about a feeling of peace and wellbeing, bringing us back to our natural, balanced centre. Meditation is a wonderful therapy that is free and you can practice it at home with guidance. If you are suffering with any pain condition, stress related disease or problems such as depression, OCD or anxiety, meditation can help you to find a way out of the shadows and into the light.
There are lots of books and CD’s that can really help and be a great resource to help you learn the very simple techniques involved in Mindful Meditation. Joining a meditation group or coming on a retreat can be a great start to a new practice or one that you may already have established. Learning new ideas and being guided through a mediation with a teacher can be very beneficial. I love sharing everything I have learnt over the years, mediation has saved me many times when life has been stressful, always helping me back to my peaceful core.

Yoga & Mindful Meditation Retreat Day with Saira Francis
Saturday 16th May 10.30 – 4 pm £40
Retreat Day Schedule:
10.30 am Hatha Flow Yoga
12.30 pm Bring your packed lunch to enjoy in the cottage or gardens here at Luccombe Farm
1.30 pm Mindful Meditation Workshop and silent meditative walk if weather allows
We’ve been really enjoying some Spring Yoga in this beautiful weather here at Mellulah. The garden of the cottage is covered in primroses and bluebells, even more than last year.
Practising yoga outside is a wonderful way to enjoy the pleasure of asana and to fill our hearts and souls with abundant light.
Luccombe Farm where we are based, is tucked down in a secret valley so its very hard to find enough flat space to hold yoga classes outside here but during our May and June retreats we do try to meditate outside by the lower lake and take mindful walks to the babbling brook a short distance from the farm. Yoga classes are wonderful here in the peace and stillness of Luccombe, listening to the birds singing and little else!
We hope to see you here for some Spring Yoga or later in the Autumn.
