Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of meals and refreshments do you offer?

Your yoga retreat with us will be entirely plant based/vegan, refined sugar free and alcohol free. It is really important that you let us know of any dietary requirements, special diets and preferences, so that we can ensure you enjoy your delicious, healthy, nutritious meals. If you’ve never eaten plant based before, prepare to be pleasantly surprised!

What do I need to bring to my yoga retreat?

Its a good idea to wear loose comfortable clothing for yoga and meditation. If the weather is cool, or during the Winter months, it’s also beneficial to bring warm layers so you can strip down to a vest top or t-shirt in the yoga class as you warm up. Bring thick socks for relaxation, if you like to be cosy.

We supply towels for your rooms (not for swimming, bring one or two for the pool and sauna), you might like to bring a robe for swimming and of course swimmer.

Bring your own yoga mat if you have one, a strap, block, eye bag and any other equipment you use for your regular practice. Its nice to bring a pillow and blanket for the sound healing part of the retreat. If you are coming by train get in touch and we'll make sure we have everything you need available.

There are no hairdryers, do bring your own toiletries if you prefer.

A retreat is a great chance to catch up on a good book, perhaps a spiritual book that you’ve been meaning to read? We supply a library of our favourite spiritual books for you to use during your stay.

A journal is a wonderful idea if you’d like to keep notes of your own feelings and experiences during the retreat and also jot down any guidance, mantras or yoga poses you enjoyed while with us.

My experience at Saira's retreat was amazing. I've been on several of Saira's retreats and they are all wonderful, so thoughtfully planned, down to the smallest details, to make sure that everyone feels so welcome and cared for. I would highly recommend Saira's retreats and hope to go on many more! Thank you Saira xx

My experience on Saira's retreat was truly extraordinary. I came all the way from the US for this unique experience. Saira is a gifted facilitator and healer, and through her kind, wise and humble nature, she created safe space for a group of strangers to find connection with one another and within themselves. Great care was taken to ensure that everyone's dietary, energetic and emotional needs were honored and I felt very cared for throughout the experience. I am so grateful I made the journey!

I have just returned from a retreat run by Saira and feel like I have been restored and replenished! Everything was well planned and organised with amazing food and facilities. If you are feeling undecided about attending a retreat alone I can reassure you that you will be made to feel welcome and looked after whilst you are there. Everyone is important in Saira's eyes and she has time and space for everyone who needs her attention. She's very caring and knowledgeable in all the activities she offers so you feel safe and nurtured. You'll not be disappointed.

Saira is the real deal - her retreats are profound, intelligent, passionate and safe. I have been on two so far and hope to join many more!
